Objectives

 

• Enhance political awareness, involvement and civic responsibility

• Present and promote the interest of India community and help shape relevant policies at local, state and federal level

• Promote voter registration and encourage exercising their rights to vote and to run for public office.

• Identify issues of concern and pursue solutions within the political system. Facilitate and promote ongoing Indo-U.S. relations.

• Develop close contacts with other minority organizations, including religious, ethnic, racial and women's groups

• Actively involve in local and state political issues, as well as matters of concern to individual members

• Provide an exciting opportunity for youth to experience an in depth internship opportunity with a U.S. Senator or Congressman Washington, D.C.

• Actively campaigning for issues of interest to the Indian community on Capitol Hill
